The picture isn't me. It is Willam S. Burroughs, I happen to feel as dessicated as he looks in that picture. For that matter I think this whole blog would probably read better if he read it aloud. Ashame he is dead and all. But at least toward the end of his life he had a quiet, dessicated, knowing almost lilting voice that really made for a fun listen.
If you can dig up Laurie Anderson's (she is married to Lou Reed what a coincidence I am married to Lou too!) Mister Heartbreak album Billy here narrates (performs?, sings?) Sharkey's Night. Maybe then you can see what I mean about his voice.
